To kickoff the London series, before the Seahawks and Raiders took the field at the iconic Wembley Stadium, fans were treated to a cultural, fun-filled weekend. The festivities began Thursday, when Seahawks and Raiders fans were picked up from their hotels, in none other than the classic red double decker bus.
Fans sat on the top deck of the bus, giving them incredible views of London and its landmarks such as Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square, Nelson’s Column, the National Gallery and “The City” of London. Guests were in awe as they took in its rich history. One of best views was that of the London Bridge, sitting beautifully in the distance. Guests were able to learn about London’s history from a local tour guide who shared the stories behind these landmarks. They learned about the war, triumph and defeat that London has experienced over the years. The bus was filled with intrigue, excitement, smiles, and laughter.
Following the double decker tour, guests were brought to the London Eye, a massive ferris wheel holding 32 capsules with up to 800 people at one time. After walking through the VIP entrances, fans entered the capsule, and were greeted by a bubbly glass of champagne. These capsules gave breathtaking 360-degree views of the city from 443 feet in the air when at its peak. Many memories were made through Thursday’s adventures that will last these fans a lifetime.
